UK Achieves 40% Recycling Rates.

I just read a fantastic report published by Defra, which shows that the UK's recycling rates are now pushing past 40%! this is obviously fantastic news as it shows the progress we are making as a nation towards our environmental and sustainability targets.

Its is great that our recycling rates are moving in the right direction. But we can still do alot more as a nation.Another issue probably just as important as recycling which not many people talk about is the important of buying recycled goods. As customers, we have the choice to buy recycled and this helps increase the demand for recycled materials. www.elementgreenrecycling.co.uk has a range of recycled and recycling products.
ReplyDeleteI agree, that is huge news, but ther is soo much more to go. I recently saw a news artivle on a program on, CNN or The Journal with Joan Lunden, talking about the inprotance and buisness of industrial recycling, we just need to start getting more of our big industries in a regular system of sustainabilty.
